The story behind this UOWCIII® Edition:

UOWCIII is dancing in front of squares; squares that turn around and around, propelled by the colourful sounds that UOWCIII found.

Then, a miniature Clown smaller than a smaller building-block town begun to move, around and around, propelled by the colourful sounds that the Clown found.

A paper aeroplane flew above the scene, when they both realised what the sound had been, and without an engine and simply just wings, the plane above began to fly, and begun to sing, so far, so high in the sky, as we begun to wave goodbye. But, back it came, it looked the same as when it glided away, as it looped the sky, so far, so high, but on a different day.

And on this day, the colourful sounds saw a miniature Clown, somehow smaller than a magnificent building-block town, and the closer we came, the greater it became, yet still it was simply the same, and truly a wonderful game.

UOWCIII is dancing in front of squares; squares that turn around and round, propelled by the colourful sounds that UOWCIII found, and all would spin and sing, as all would still rotate, and simply we remembered, it must be, it must, be fate.

Care Guide

How to increase the longevity of my art print?

Avoid direct sunlight for optimal longevity

Shield your art prints from direct sunlight. South-facing windows should be avoided, and ultraviolet (UV) filtering glass should be used for framing irreplaceable art prints.

Avoid environments with high humidity

Humidity accelerates the deterioration of paper and materials, and also increases the potential risk of damage from mould and pests.

Fluctuations in humidity levels can also cause tension across the surface of the art print, leading to undulations, and a ripple effect.

Avoid Damp Walls

It is advised not to hang your framed or un-framed art print directly against the interior of an outside wall affected by damp, as mould is likely to accumulate inside the art print and/or frame.

What are the main factors to enhance the durability of my art print?

The durability of your printed Edition is influenced by five primary variables:

  1. Exposure to high heat sources
  2. Exposure to bright sight sources
  3. Exposure to moist through humidity
  4. Atmospheric Pollutants
  5. Storage conditions

What's the archival life expectance of my art print?

The Giclée archival life expectancy of your art print is approximately a 80 years under average daylight conditions and can extend up to 200 years when stored in dark conditions within an archival box.

(This information on art print life expectancy is provided as an estimate only. Various factors mean it would be difficult to provide accurate / exact information on the art print lifespan of individual pieces)

How can I enhance the lifespan of my art print?

To enhance the longevity of your art print, it is essential to consider not only light, heat, and atmospheric pollutants, but also additional factors.

These include the use of adhesives that may cause degradation over time and the emission of sulphur compounds from materials such as rubber and wood, which can initiate fading and instability.

Therefore, it is recommended to store your prints in archival materials, including archival acetate sleeves, and place them inside archival storage boxes made from acid-free conservation board.

Avoid temperature fluctuations and high humidity

Once the print is stored using archival materials, it should be kept in a location away from fluctuating temperatures and potentially, high humidity conditions.

Areas such as attics, basements, or next to outside walls, which experience more fluctuations in conditions and where condensation frequently occurs, should be avoided.

Regular checks on your stored boxes to ensure they are free from pests, moisture, dust, and are in good condition are also advised.

How can I preserve artwork for display purposes?

For display purposes, conservation framing is the best method to preserve the artwork. This involves placing the artwork behind glass to protect it from the surrounding environment.

When mounting for framing, it is ideal to use 100% cotton fibre, acid-free unbuffered mount boards.

UV protective conservation clear glass also reduces the impact of exposure to bright light sources.

Paper Details

Paper Type

Hahnemühle Photorag

Paper Information

The lustrous matte finish of Hahnemüle Photorag distinguishes this paper, producing soft blacks, uniform colour reproduction and exceptional intricacy.

The surface is subtly textured with a smooth cotton feel, producing seamless colour transitions. Photorag is suitable for mounting, but has the potential to fray on the edges, due to its delicate nature, therefor, we recommend handing with care.
