UOWCIII: archive 2024 - artworks, series and collections
This series presents works which become an exploration of reality, questioning the transformative nature of perception. Within this series, references to Skyscrapers represent our structured understanding, whilst Clowns imply a sense of the unexpected. This series offers a glimpse into a broader perspective of life, delving into philosophical questions of existence that encourage the viewer to unscramble underlying symbolic elements and metaphorical storylines.

Context:
We saw a circle that turned around, the other side, a door was found. The door opened until it became, an illusion of just the door and its frame, spinning in a circle - a spherical game.
The game we could see with our eyes, was all a vision of all that was round, yet the other side was occupied, by the space of all transmissible sound.
And then, we looked down, to see the “Object” of the Clown, dropping from the hands of the first thing we found.
We looked to the sky where all was just blue, and began to believe that this was the clue, as life fused with the “circle” and all that we know, and all that we ever thought that we ever quite knew.

Context:
We saw a beaked figure juggling like a Clown, with one hand in the air and another facing down. Underneath one hand was a world below, and above the other was a pair of wings to discover.
The Face tried the wings and they flew like a plane, until they paused, and it paused the whole game. A silent moment then began to believe, that to un-pause the game, the “Objects” must breathe. A deep breath in, again, made the world begin, as the beaked figure began to sing - one hand in the air and another facing down - the skyscraper in the hands of a singing, beaked Clown.

This series invites the observer into a game of fleeting moments, capturing time and perception as the “Object” of reflection, whilst exploring the conceptuality of transformation. These works question the visitation of time and the essence of momentum, as our perception creates the expansive, “logical” effect of narrative continuity.

The smiley face climbed over the wall, to see a playground not so full. People playing games on a small turf green, was just enough to be subtly seen.
A lighter shadow was following behind, but still one image that we just couldn't find.
And then one wall became three, dividing the voices we couldn't see, in a world full of wonder, and a world full of colour - and the curious city of curiosity.

Ping Pong they played, from just one side of the net, until one day they did forget, the other side was not yet met.
One side was open, but nothing seemed to cross, there was an invisible line that would redefine, the dynamics of all games and signs.
All walls surrounding the court, opened towards all random thoughts, as flying "Objects" hit the floor, and bounced into worlds where we found more.
Ping Pong they played from just one side of the net, until the other side was all surrounding worlds, never to forget.

A blue wall that curved down, introduced a familiar Clown, there were two walls opposite, and the lower walls were green. There were people laughing and some sounds of songs, and then the Clown played Ping Pong. There was a shadow we all could see, it was the reflection of UOWCIII.
From what looked grey, is still yellow, and who knew, it still is blue - with our eyes we scratched away, the time of every day, then every minute that we'd visit, it would become almost infinite.

This series explores nature’s symmetry and duplication, inviting the observer to engage in a vast, playful, simulational world of codes that can be copied, mysteries that can be mirrored and “Objects” that act as props, presenting “realistic” and familiar environments within the story. These works probe the boundaries of thought, and the emulation of performance and function.

A Blue Horse was just a thought, stretched out across a world of infinite noughts. The beginning was a circle or a sphere of some sort, juggling the tiniest "Objects" that couldn't be caught. At the end of the turf was the duplicate scene, something the Horse had never quite seen, all was the same in symmetry's name, but never decoded, for this was the game.

Kneeling on both legs, was the person with The Happy Round Head. The happy face was on the front of the head, but merely a face, it was. We knew it was a face though, because a wide smile took the place of a nose and a set of eyes and ears.
And then, the biggest bubble fell from the sky, but for one, not in a great enough supply - UOWCIII watched it land, perfectly in the hands, of the person with The Happy Round Head, kneeling on both legs.

Context:
There was a sloping piece of ground that looked like turf stuck to a wall, there was a section that was pink, connecting all abstract links. We turned the other way and saw what used to be the ground, everything, it seemed had turned upside-down. We looked at both of our hands and all fingers were still there, holding on from above was the head that just stared, and a shape with eyes that arrived to watch all that would surprise.
As we turned away we saw a shape travelling towards a door, and forwards it would roll, following the floor, to the worlds of those playgrounds before, realising that anything that we saw, was that subtle state of awe.

This series introduces a journey through surreal environments and scenarios, fusing fantastical scenes and elements of introspection to provoke wonder and curiosity. Characters within the works explore the delicate balance between alternate dimensions and external reality. Seemingly insignificant “Objects” within the works subtly detail the immense powers and potentials of the mind, questioning what is capable of transforming limitations and propelling possibilities.

Context:
UOWCIII was on a swing that swung on a thin string like a Puppet in a Puppet show, afloat with no wings, but two walls folded inwards and outwards and they flopped and fluttered and waved, and through a delicate scene of Strawberry and Raspberry Jelly squares, the wings showed the greatest momentum you’ve ever seen in a tiny set of wings from a thing not even “Real” to reach a place you’ve never been, from the invisible machines in-between all that is unseen.
A swing that swung on a thin string like a Puppet in a Puppet show, afloat with no wings, the Jelly squares became puddles and inside them we saw, beyond the floor, more than our reflection - a wonderful dimension of questions and introspection - an “Idea” of the imagination.

Three faces, and two smiles facing the same way, yet when one juggled a single juggling ball, the other smile took the juggling ball for a walk, like you’d take your dog for a walk. And there was a small hill below the string, yet the dog that looked like a disk didn’t fall further than the string, as each shape has a link that clicks into place as the faces await for the strings to take their place, but they always swing and they are always moving, like your eyes even whilst dreaming, always moving through separate squares that lead you to a vibrant funfair that you didn’t know was there. Everything we can see, we can see is right there, but yet to be seen is a brochure to share, to see all world's curiosities and the quiet unawares.

A juggling butterfly came down from the sky and ten black and white finger-like people smiled like a toy. UOWCIII was guiding the butterfly inside with a piece of string where hundreds of invisible swings were waiting for the toy to land. It was like a sweet shop inside with Doughnut slides and child-like visions of the world spinning like a round-about. Some would be dizzy but some would see clearly to adjust the frequency and to see that everything we see is a miracle to be.
Amusing, but calm and perfectly pleasing, joyful and bright, a sight of worlds flourishing, things singing from the beginning and hope that is happiness, where the toy may land, and all of these dreams are right here, in the palms of our hands.

We jumped through a cube that was as slippery as an ice cube, as clear as a dream, and as exciting as an Ice Cream. There wasn’t a door on the ice cube and we didn’t know we could jump through “Objects”, but there was a loop - an endless loop, a circle, a spiral, and a hoop. And then we were there. UOWCIII had a shell on its back like a tortoise, but had four legs like a Horse, a Donkey, a Goat or two Turkeys.
The ground we walked on was a warm, soft red and some sections of the turf was yellow like a lemon, and without any smell to see, we could see what we could smell as a big jug of cold squished lemon. Just below the lemon turf was this little roundish white character, and happy did they look, with one hand resting on their cheek and a smile that was spanned as wide as the Paper Aeroplane could fly, but it didn’t land and it didn’t loop, it was not a circle, a spiral or a hoop, but an “Idea” in the sky where hope flies, and we realise the spectacles of an infinite surprise.

Context:
We saw a white Duck with a yellow head and two arms and two legs, and it was juggling with a single juggling ball as two walls launched into a familiar world, with “Objects” from a toy we imagined flying in the sky, but from somewhere which we hadn’t physically seen before, in a segment of a random dimension, almost afloat like a toy boat on a soft, striking water that was purple and blue, the water, no more colours, just two, until the green turf rotates and the sky rotates and everything spins endlessly in circles of flourishing multidimensional loops.
So similar, but distant enough for infinity to be connected by a string that’s scalable to a viewpoint of the most exciting playgrounds that we can see with our own eyes, and touch with our own fingertips - and when we press the button the spectacles launch and we see the original toy boat and all the same walls, the same water, but something more clear in our minds, suddenly redefines, a miracle in our eyes.
