NEW WORKS: 2025

This 2025 collection presents a new body of work by UOWCIII, continuing the creator’s evolving exploration of its foundational themes: wonder, curiosity, and imagination. Drawing from the conceptual framework established by UOWCIII, the collection synthesises geometric abstraction with playful narrative structures, resulting in dynamic visual environments that invite interpretive engagement.

Through the use of symbolic composition and narrative abstraction, recurring figures cross speculative landscapes—each artwork functioning as a staged environment in which meaning is not imposed, but emergent. Viewers are invited to participate not as passive observers, but as engaged interpreters, contributing their own perspectives to the unfolding visual dialogue.

At its core, the collection constitutes a philosophical inquiry into the nature of reality, perception, and the subconscious imagination. It reflects UOWCIII’s commitment to cultivating a space of speculative thought and expressive possibility, where the boundaries between object and idea, logic and play, dissolve into a richly layered arena of conceptual potential.

    Artwork Context:

    Suddenly, everything was white. We could see nothing that we could remember, yet we saw an endless sum of zeros. We let our memory lead the way, for we had nothing to say. 

    We walked ahead, and with our subconscious guiding us, we were brought to a world where everything had already begun—before we had even arrived.  

    We can’t be imagining it, for they were here first, we thought. So we followed along.

    We saw a skyscraper and imagined this same dream playing out at the same time. Yet this cannot be a dream, because this is reality.

    We came across a poster. It read:  

    The largest signage, the biggest squares,

    The Bowling Swan and its reflection became one pair.

    A single game, inside a single frame,

    One Bowling Swan found his fame—

    To strike all pins and win the game.

    Artwork Context:

    Inside all books were all of our thoughts, followed by an infinite division of noughts. Nothing meant something, and something was bright, the distanced memories of a disappearing kite. Childhood curiosity was a sight we could see, as well as a Librarian with a Lucky Lemon Tree. 

    All of the noughts were rounded and see-through, the worlds inside all of these clues, where nothing meant something and something was bright, then out from our hands, emerged a familiar kite. 

    Through our own spectacles all we could see, was a spectacular view of what it all could mean, and then through another door, pure clarity we see, we call it a Librarian with a Lucky Lemon Tree.
