The story behind this UOWCIII® Edition:
In this piece, UOWCIII discovers a non‑standard aerodynamic solution to flying, which involves a pigeon and an additional wing, with the central wing acting as a dynamic lift modulator... We introduce: UOWCIII: The Three-Winged Pigeoplane.
Three wings and a pigeons mind, would fly to a world the pigeon designed. The central wing would charge to rapid vertical heights, the speed of no other, aboard the Pigeo-Flight.
The Three-Winged Pigeoplane became the game from the ground, as we heard the paper aeroplane, an audience, a crowd, and all the steady swooping, the soaring, and flying sounds.
A measure of time, measured by signs, signs in the air, a pigeon never shared. Now a flying face with pigeon wings could see the way, and all these things, a length of distance travelling away, vanishing from the world, to return one day.
The day returned with ideas a-flight, above a figure flying a kite. The kite looked just like a checkerboard floor, so we zoomed out to see so much more. We saw a human, as a small dot, when hundreds of dots began to appear on a small paper sheet, a blueprint of the passenger seat, when lines and grids began to emerge, and each human took their turn.
The pilot in the pigeons mind, would fly to a world the pigeon designed. The world we saw in the paper aeroplane, become an idea floating in ways, many the same, yet the world inside many paper folds, would be the most intricate of any game to hold, any worlds still untold, any realm we shall behold, as we charge to rapid vertical heights, the speed of no other, all aboard the Pigeo-Flight.

Shield your art prints from direct sunlight. South-facing windows should be avoided, and ultraviolet (UV) filtering glass should be used for framing irreplaceable art prints.
Humidity accelerates the deterioration of paper and materials, and also increases the potential risk of damage from mould and pests.
Fluctuations in humidity levels can also cause tension across the surface of the art print, leading to undulations, and a ripple effect.
It is advised not to hang your framed or un-framed art print directly against the interior of an outside wall affected by damp, as mould is likely to accumulate inside the art print and/or frame.
The durability of your printed Edition is influenced by five primary variables:
The Giclée archival life expectancy of your art print is approximately a 80 years under average daylight conditions and can extend up to 200 years when stored in dark conditions within an archival box.
(This information on art print life expectancy is provided as an estimate only. Various factors mean it would be difficult to provide accurate / exact information on the art print lifespan of individual pieces)
To enhance the longevity of your art print, it is essential to consider not only light, heat, and atmospheric pollutants, but also additional factors.
These include the use of adhesives that may cause degradation over time and the emission of sulphur compounds from materials such as rubber and wood, which can initiate fading and instability.
Therefore, it is recommended to store your prints in archival materials, including archival acetate sleeves, and place them inside archival storage boxes made from acid-free conservation board.
Once the print is stored using archival materials, it should be kept in a location away from fluctuating temperatures and potentially, high humidity conditions.
Areas such as attics, basements, or next to outside walls, which experience more fluctuations in conditions and where condensation frequently occurs, should be avoided.
Regular checks on your stored boxes to ensure they are free from pests, moisture, dust, and are in good condition are also advised.
For display purposes, conservation framing is the best method to preserve the artwork. This involves placing the artwork behind glass to protect it from the surrounding environment.
When mounting for framing, it is ideal to use 100% cotton fibre, acid-free unbuffered mount boards.
UV protective conservation clear glass also reduces the impact of exposure to bright light sources.
Hahnemühle Photorag
The super matt finish of Hahnemüle Photorag gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail.
The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients.
It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling.
Photorag is suitable for mounting, but its cotton texture means edges can fray if not carefully handled.
